Does the tool search the internet for content?
No. Course content is written from your brief and any documents you upload, and the tool does not browse the web for facts. The only external lookup is for images, which are matched using a short keyword description of the subject (for example, “fire extinguisher”). Your document text is not used in that search. The AI writes the keywords, so they may reflect the subject of your document. If no suitable photo is found, a general image may be used instead, so check that each image fits its content.
Is my uploaded material the basis for the course?
Yes. When you upload a source document, it is treated as the primary source. The course’s facts, terminology, procedures and examples are built around what your document says. The tool is also instructed not to invent laws, regulations, clause numbers or statistics. Statistics not taken from your document are only meant to be used where they come from a named, recognised source, which is stated alongside the figure. Check any statistic that doesn't come from your document.
Is the tool editorial only, or does it create new content?
It does both. Your document supplies the substance, and the tool supplies the instructional design: structuring modules, writing hooks, and creating scenarios, quiz questions and summaries. This is new text, written by AI, to teach what your document contains. Scenarios use fictional characters and settings, and quiz questions include plausible wrong answers that are, by nature, not taken from your document.
Will it add information that isn’t in my document?
Your document is prioritised, but the tool is not restricted to it. Where your material doesn’t cover something the course needs, the tool may add general subject knowledge to complete it. The same applies if your document can't be read or isn't relevant to the brief: the course is then written from your brief and general knowledge. For this reason, we recommend reviewing the course for anything that goes beyond your source, particularly scenario outcomes, quiz feedback, and any statistics, quotations or signposting to external support services.
What if my document is short or limited?
The tool will still aim to produce a complete course matching your brief. With limited source material, more of the course may draw on general knowledge, so a full review is especially important in this case. Where possible, upload a document that covers the scope of the course you want.
How do I check what’s in my course?
Every course is fully editable, and nothing is published automatically. We recommend that a subject-matter expert reviews AI-generated courses before publishing, especially for compliance, safety or regulated content. The author remains responsible for approving the final course.
Can the tool get facts wrong?
Like any AI system, it can make mistakes. This is why human review is part of the process.
How are branding documents handled?
A brand or style guide is used only to shape tone, terminology, writing style and colours. It is never used as course subject matter.
